Ken Blue!

For thirty years, men and women around the world who hope there is a way to greater freedom, more effectiveness and deeper fulfillment have turned to Ken Blue. They have sought him out for his insights on the deep heart of reality, for his dynamic ability to effectively communicate very complex ideas, and for the genuine care he has for those in need. Over these thirty years, tens of thousands of people in Dr. Blue's seminars across the globe have begun living lives that are more worth living than they had previously thought possible.

Through these three decades, Ken's primary concern has been for the Christian Chruch. In order to help build, heal, and guide the Church, Dr. Blue has developed several courses concentrated around three focal points: the absolute centrality of the free, gracious love of God, the develpment of non-abusive styles of leadership, and the advancement of the Spiritual power dimension of ministry. Out of this foundation of serving the Church on all the inhabited continents, Ken has developed a number of highly effective training courses for business. These courses are built on a synergy of timeless truths and state-of-the-art reasearch in business, psychology, and sociology. Dr. Blue's courses on topics such as The Power of Applied Optimism, Conflict Resolution, Motivational Interviewing, and Servant Leadership have been of great benefit to many diverse companies and organizations, ranging form large interrnational corporations to small family holdings. After serving as a missionary in Communist East Europe, where he was imprisoned, Dr. Blue planted several churches in Canada, while establishing a mission to street kids in Vancouver. In 2001, Ken resigned as senior pastor of a church in San Diego that he had planted 12 years earlier. Since then, Ken has spent the majority of his time bringing these valued insights and counsel to a theologically and financially impoverished Church, primarily in the developing world. In addition to this primary work with the impoverished Church, Dr. Ken Blue is also a senior consultant with the San Diego Consulting Group. He continues to do consulting and training for businesses who want their operations to work better and become better places to work.

Ken earned his doctorate degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, a Masters degree in Christian Studies at Regent College in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, and a B.A. in Communications from Cal State Hayward in Hayward, California. In addition, he is a five-time All American who set both American and world records in swimming and was selected for the 1968 U.S. Olympic Training Team in Modern Pentathlon. Both his academic and athletic careers taught Dr. Blue that our success in largely determined by our habits of thought. Ken has spent his subsequent years teaching and counseling others to develop and re-develop these habits.

Ken is the author of several best-selling books that have been translated into over twenty languages. His published works include Authority to Heal, Church Discipline That Heals, and Healing Spiritual Abuse. Ken and his wife, Patti, have been married for 31 years and have eight children, ranging in age form 9 to 29 years. They live in San Diego, California.
